Unior 1609/2BI-US 16 Notch External Bottom Bracket Wrench Description:
The Unior 1609/2BI-US 16 Notch External Bottom Bracket Wrench is designed for the installation and removal of centerlock disc brake rotor lockrings and bottom brackets with 16 external notches and 44-45 mm major diameter (outside of notches) and 42.7 mm minor diameter (inside of notches). This wrench is constructed out of a chrome plated, hardened high carbon tool steel for a stiff and rugged tool that will not deflect when being torqued. Speaking of torque, the long handle features a slight offset for hand and finger clearance, and the end of the tool is capped with a large ergonomic handle for comfort and excellent grip. Last but not least, this tool will include a crankset preload wrench for adjusting the preload on Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets, and this small tool has a powerful magnet embedded on the backside of the tool so it can be attached to the larger wrench so it will not get lost when the tools are being stored away.
Features:
- Premium chrome-plated and hardened high carbon tool steel body increases rigidity and durability
- Offset just enough to create room for turning the tool without hitting the chainstay and clearing the rotor, while keeping the handle enough in line with the head of the tool to prevent slipping/potential damage to the part getting tightened up
- Machined for a precise fit to eliminate slipping and potentially damaging the surface finish on anodized bottom brackets and lockrings
- Long, 13.78″ handle with ergonomic grip provides comfort, control, and plenty of leverage to loosen stubborn bottom brackets
- Crankset preload wrench for installing and adjusting the plastic preload bolt in Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets is included, and this small tool has a powerful magnet embedded into the backside to attach it to the bigger wrench when storing both of the tools
