SRAM Maven Ultimate Hydraulic Disc Brake Description:

The SRAM Maven Ultimate Hydraulic Disc Brake delivers the control, ergonomics, and prodigious braking power needed to satisfy the demanding needs of modern mountain bike riding. A revised shape for the SwingLink cam within the brake lever delivers a significant reduction in how much force is required to pull the lever back, eliminates the notchy feeling that the previous cam shape produced, and is much easier to modulate so the rider has better bike control at any speed. Stiff SRAM Maven Ultimate brake calipers are filled with four 18mm pistons to furnish incredible peak power and heat management so the brakes constantly have power on tap and will not fade even after a grueling high speed rip through the trails.

Filling the brake hose, caliper, and lever is Maxima’s Mineral Brake Oil, which was formulated with help from SRAM’s engineers to produce a system that is better for the environment, requires little maintenance, and delivers outstanding performance over a very wide range of temperatures and conditions. The addition of a carbon fiber brake lever, extensive machining of the aluminum lever and caliper, and titanium hardware reduces the weight of the complete system, proving that you can have great power without attaching a literal anchor to the bike. Finally, the lever features tool-free reach and contact point adjustments to enable these brakes to be adjusted to suit any hand size and/or rider preference, so it is easier than ever to put world class braking power at the fingertips of any rider.
