SRAM Maven Silver Hydraulic Disc Brake Description:

The SRAM Maven Silver Hydraulic Disc Brake delivers the control, ergonomics, and prodigious braking power needed to satisfy the demanding needs of modern mountain bike riding. A revised shape for the SwingLink cam within the brake lever delivers a significant reduction in how much force is required to pull the lever back, which serves to eliminate the notchy lever travel of the previous version of the Maven brakes and makes it easier to modulate the brakes for better bike control at any speed. Stiff SRAM Maven Silver brake calipers do a phenomenal job of controlling the heat produced during braking and are filled with four 18mm pistons so there is plenty of fade-free braking power throughout a fun day ripping up and down the trails.

Filling the brake hose, caliper, and lever is Maxima’s Mineral Brake Oil, which was formulated with help from SRAM’s engineers to produce a system that is better for the environment, requires little maintenance, and delivers outstanding performance over a very wide range of temperatures and conditions. The addition of a stealthy black CNC-machined and forged aluminum brake lever, machining on the brake caliper, and black stainless steel hardware all keep the weight of the Maven Silver in check and ensures those great looks can hold up for a long time to regular use and abuse. Finally, the lever features tool-free reach and contact point adjustments to enable these brakes to be adjusted to suit any hand size and/or rider preference, so it is easier than ever to put world class braking power at the fingertips of any rider.
