Specialized S-Works Recon EVO Gravel/XC Shoes fuses stiffness and security normally only found in premium road racing shoes with the rugged construction of an off-road specific shoe to deliver incredible stability, power transfer, and all-day comfort. Built around a Body Geometry Natural Last that has been developed to compliment the natural shape of the foot and significantly reduce pressure on the forefoot, this shoe has a lightweight and stretch resistant synthetic upper with an innovative PowerHug closure design and dual BOA Li2 fit systems which will evenly distribute pressure throughout the structure of the shoe for incredible security and stability. Attached to the bottom of the shoe is a very stiff unidirectional carbon fiber sole complete with a longitudinal arch that prevents the foot from flexing/wasting energy, and as a bonus this rigid design will also reduce foot fatigue. Last but not least, Specialized leveraged years of developmental research and data collection to design an insole with a Varus Wedge which will keep your legs in alignment for more efficient power production along with a Metatarsal Button that prevents the bones in the forefoot from getting squeezed together, putting the finishing touches on a pair of shoes that will pamper a riders feet and legs and ensure all of the power is efficiently transformed into achieving blistering speeds.
