The Shimano XTR BR-M9220 4-Piston Disc Brake Caliper was developed to deliver incredible consistency, bike control, and pure braking power for enduro racing and gravity-loving riding styles. Utilizing a dual diameter opposed 4-piston design, this caliper delivers outstanding modularity and lever feel that lets the rider to confidently control their bike over any terrain and from any speed. Updated seals and the use of Shimano’s low viscosity mineral oil offers a reliable initial bite point and consistent performance in any trail and temperature/weather conditions. Finally, this caliper is fitted with a finned brake pad with a metallic braking pad compound that maintains their performance even after heavy application of the brakes, and those pads combined with an oval mount in the caliper prevents rattling and other unnecessary noises, ensuring the rider has no distractions and are in complete control of their bike as they are charging hard over technical terrain.
