The Michelin Protek Max 29″ Tube is a uniquely shaped and textured butyl rubber inner tube that is filled with a sealant for better air retention and puncture protection. A profile that is “squared” off plus the bumps that cover its surface help the tube to compress when an object enters the tire to improve the tubes puncture resistance, and if something does get through, the sealant inside the tube quickly flows to the hole so there is minimal air loss. Add in better seam construction and better seals within the valve, and these tubes are a great addition for anyone wanting to spend less time pumping up their tires and spend more time having fun on the bike.
